Strawberry Rhubarb Lemonade

A work of tart.


  • 2 cups fresh rhubarb
  • 4 cups water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen strawberries (stems removed)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Lemonade

To Prepare

  • Add all ingredients except the lemonade to a saucepan and simmer on medium heat until rhubarb and strawberry are soft (approx. 10 – 20 minutes).
  • Let mixture cool, and strain through a cheesecloth.
  • Rim a glass with sugar, add ice, and pour lemonade ovetop.
