Spicy Watermelon Tajin

Sweet, with just a bit of heat.


  • A generous squeeze of lime juice, plus an extra wedge to moisten the rim
  • Tajin, to season the rim
  • 1/2 cup fresh watermelon juice
  • 2 – 3 thin slices of jalapeño, seeds removed
  • 1/2 cup sparkling water

To Prepare

  • Moisten the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, spread some Tajin seasoning on a small plate, then coat the rim so it’s nice and spicy! Fill the glass with ice.
  • Combine watermelon juice (you can buy this or toss some watermelon chunks in the blender and strain to make fresh watermelon juice), jalapeño slices and lime juice in a cocktail shaker, Mix it up and pour into your glass.
  • Add sparkling water and stir. If you like, you can leave the jalapeño in as garnish, or you can strain them out and garnish with a slice of lime. This is the kind of drink that pairs perfectly with chips and salsa on the patio. Nothing beats those summer fresh flavours!
